With more than 14 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Miguel Borda brings a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to dentistry, shaped by years of clinical experience, international service, and a lifelong curiosity about science and the human condition.
For Dr. Borda, dentistry is more than a profession; it is a lifelong craft that brings together science, artistry, and a deep sense of purpose. Having owned and operated his own practice, he approaches his work with the curiosity of a lifelong student, the precision of a craftsman, and an appreciation for the trust patients place in his hands.
Dr. Borda’s professional journey includes clinical experience in both Colombia and the United States. During his year of social service with the Colombian National Police, he worked under the supervision of an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, gaining valuable experience in oral surgery and complex dental procedures.
He also served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, an experience that strengthened his appreciation for service, teamwork, and compassionate patient care.
Dr. Borda enjoys a broad range of general dentistry, with particular interests in restorative and cosmetic treatments, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and dental implant placement and restoration. His clinical experience includes working with a variety of implant systems and incorporating modern technologies such as 3D imaging and computer-guided implant surgery into treatment planning and care.
Above all, he believes in preserving natural teeth whenever possible and helping patients make informed decisions about their oral health.
Dr. Borda’s interest in healthcare extends beyond clinical practice. He has participated in academic research exploring connections between oral health, nutrition, aging, and neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease.
